Public relations can be defined as a sophisticated word for advertising. Successful clubs are successful due in part to their effective use of public relations. Public relations consists of  advertising, marketing, and communicating to your communities; public relations is about letting your schools and communities know what Key Club is all about! Your club is probably successful in the public relations area of Key Club, but you may not know it.

Take a look at some easy ways to promote your Key Club ...

• Feature your club in the local newspaper
• Create a club website, and link it to your school website
• Create a Facebook fan page or group for your Key Club
• Put your upcoming events in the school announcements
• Hang flyers and posters up around school
• Talk to your friends about Key Club; encourage groups of people to attend service projects

Do you have a Facebook account? Become a fan of the "Illinois-Eastern Iowa District of Key Club International" and receive updates on upcoming events, deadlines, scholarship information, and more! Do you have a Twitter account? Follow "iikeyclub" and receive the same!

Creating a club website, a Facebook fan page/group, or a Twitter account are all easy ways your Key Club can utilize technology. Your club can utilize www.webs.com in order to create a website for free!

• Officer information 
• Upcoming events
• A club roster
• Meeting times
• Service hours
• A calendar
• Links to the district and international websites
• Photos, and other fun items!
